Elle se trouve à 150km au S-E de Sofia. <a href="http://storage.canalblog.com/65/18/249377/11094678.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="300" alt="IMG_0131_2" src="http://storage.canalblog.com/65/18/249377/11094678_p.jpg" width="200" border="0" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 5px 5px;" /></a></em></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><em>C'est une des plus vielles villes d'Europe, plus ancienne encore que Rome, Constantinople et Athènes. Son histoire va de l'époque </em><em>mycénienne à nos jours. Successivement byzantine, bulgare puis ottomane, capitale de </em><em>la région semi-indépendante de Roumélie orientale, elle redevient à nouveau bulgare en 1885. Mais Plovdiv fut aussi le centre du mouvement démocratique qui a finalement a renversé le régime pro-Soviétique en 1989. </em></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Peu après notre arrivée à Plovdiv, nous atteignons le centre-ville et nous faisons une 1ère plongée dans l'histoire... une plongée plutôt profonde puisque nous reculons de 19 siècles en quelques pas...</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Sous nos yeux, sous la place, sous la rue, se trouve de magnifiques vestiges :</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong class="spip">&nbsp; &nbsp; <img height="301" alt="IMG_0132_2" src="http://storage.canalblog.com/06/43/249377/11071196_p.jpg" width="450" border="0" /></strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong><font size="3">Le forum romain</font></strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><em>Il est situé sous la place </em>Dzhumaya, au <em>centre de la ville.</em> </p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://storage.canalblog.com/30/30/249377/11071252.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="300" alt="IMG_0134_2" src="http://storage.canalblog.com/30/30/249377/11071252_p.jpg" width="200" border="0" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 5px 5px 0px;" /></a>Sans plus attendre, nous partons à la recherche du quartier ancien.
